We recently took the plunge and decided to get an air fryer. My husband loves fried food, so I was hoping this could help him eat a little healthier. So far, we have really loved using the air fryer to cook with! There is definitely a learning curve, so I’ll be posting some of our successes here so we can look back and find them. If you are thinking abut getting an air fryer, you should! We are definitely getting a ton of use out of it.
This is the first thing I cooked on my own – and I used a lot of the lessons my husband learned by trial and error.
I love that it roasts the veggies so quickly, and they have a nice bit of crunch to them. Also, the clean up is so easy!
We noticed that a lot of the recipes seem to have temperatures a lot higher than what is needed. So for this roasted broccoli, I cooked at 360 degrees F for 6-8 minutes. This fryer has a roast setting, but this time I just used the regular air fry setting.
Set temperature to 360. Set timer for about 15 minutes.
While it’s warming up, toss your broccoli (and cauliflower) in a bowl with a small amount of olive oil.
After three minutes have passed, put your broccoli (and cauliflower, if you like) in the air fryer.
Pull out about every three minutes to give it a gentle toss and see if it looks done (Crispy around the edges).
