Do you ever get tired of having to remind your children to floss? It’s a great habit you want them to develop, but sometimes I get so tired of all of the push-back I get! It doesn’t help that my daughter inherited my tightly-packed teeth, which doesn’t make flossing easy. I’ve used a Waterpik for years, so I was pretty excited when my daughter began to show interest in mine! Please note that I received the Aquarius for free to review, and this post may contain affiliate links.
Waterpik was kind enough to send me the Aquarius Professional Designer Series Water Flosser for my daughter to try out. She loved the teal color – it’s her favorite color these days! The panel is easy for her to read and understand, and there is even a 30 second pacer so you can be sure to get all areas of your mouth. There are two different modes to choose from – the floss mode provides maximum plaque removal, while the massage mode stimulates the gums. There is also a pressure knob so you can get the pressure that you’re most comfortable with. If you’re new to water flossing, start on the low side and work your way up. There are also lots of different tips to choose from, depending on your flossing needs.
Since she will most likely have to get braces at some point, I’m glad she is already getting used to the water flosser, which will work so much better than regular flossing when she has braces. In fact, the Waterpik Water Flosser is clinically proven to be more effective than traditional string floss for reducing plaque, gingivitis, and gum disease. My dental hygienist definitely noticed when I started using one! The newer models take up less space on your counter, and the designer colors help you match your décor.
For myself, I have the Waterpik Complete Care 5.0 which I recently bought (Waterpik did not send this one to me) to replace my old Waterpik. Since my electric toothbrush was close to the end of its life and I wanted a new water flosser, this was the perfect solution for me. It doesn’t take up much room at all and everything is contained in one spot! The toothbrush has several different modes to choose from, and having the toothbrush sitting on the flosser is a great reminder to use it!
This is a product you should definitely check out – everyone I know who has used one never goes back to the old way of flossing!
