At our house, mornings can be pretty hectic. My husband works out of town most of the time, and I work full time at a job that’s almost an hour away. So in the mornings it’s always a rush to get Little Miss and I out the door! Grabbing something healthy to get me started on the right foot in the morning is important – it really makes a difference in how the day goes. Otherwise I’ll drag all day long!

Here are some more tips for having a great morning!
Get up an hour earlier. For me, starting the day rushed effects the whole day. Getting up earlier allows me time to get everything I need done.
Plan ahead. I use Sunday afternoons to prepare for the rest of the week. I work on any meal prep that can be done in advance, plan out lunches, and iron clothes to wear for the week. That way I’m not scrambling in the morning or having to work on these things after a long day at work.
Give thanks. Spend your first waking moments thinking of all the wonderful things you have to be thankful for that day. It will put you in the right frame of mind!
Get moving. Go for a walk or run, do some aerobics, whatever it takes to get your blood pumping will energize your morning and start your day off on the right foot.
Tune in. Find some joyful music and make a morning playlist with it. Music can boost our mood and soothe us, which is a great way to start the day!
Find time for happiness. Make sure you start your day with something that makes you happy! Reserve some quality time with your children, enjoy the outdoors, write, or do some other fulfilling activity.
