Little Miss is a great fruit eater. She especially enjoys “kid sized” fruit. I guess if the fruit is too big it’s a little intimidating! Of course we were more than happy to try out Lil Snappers and their kid friendly recipes!

Little Miss helped me choose this cute little smiley face to make. She loves peanut butter and apples, so it made a great snack! She loved making the fruit into something else, what a great way to encourage healthy eating!

I cut out the bread and helped her spread the peanut butter, then she got to decorate the face. We used honey and apples. Not only did she have a great time making it, but she loved eating it as well! We’ll definitely try even more of their recipes over time. They have a ton of good ideas for incorporating fun recipes into a healthy diet.

Lil Snappers is from two companies – Sunkist Growers and Stemlit Growers. Each fruit comes in a three pound breathable bag, which is perfect for just throwing in the fridge for little hands to pick out when they want a snack. There are twenty varieties available, including organic varieties as well!

We tried Pink Lady Lil Snappers, which are the only truly pink apples. Little Miss and I both liked the crisp texture and sweet tart flavor. Little Miss’ favorite variety was the California Mandarin Little Snappers. She loves that they are easy to peel, and fun to play with and eat! I loved the Cara Cara Navel Lil Snappers. The flavor was delightful, and it has great nutritional value!

Lil Snappers is currently available in Louisiana (New Orleans), Florida (Jacksonville) and North Carolina at the following locations:
