We haven’t done any adventures especially for Little Miss lately, so I decided this weekend was a great time to do something fun just for her. I had heard from many parents that Wales West was a great place to take small children, so we decided to check it out.
It’s a little bit of a haul from where we live, and I was worried that she’d get bored on the ride over, but that wasn’t the case at all! We sang bunny songs, looked for bunnies, and generally had a great time just talking on the way over.
Little Miss was excited as soon as we arrived. We went up a ramp covered with all sorts of Easter Decorations. The ramp took us over a fence and into the train station area. Once there, the Time Keeper came up to us, introduced himself, and let us know where everything was.
We headed to the park which had a jumpy house, slide, swing set, and some balance toys while we waited for our friends to arrive. Little Miss had a great time in the bounce house, and as soon as her friend arrived he joined in on the fun. The entire area is decorated for Easter. It’s rather cheesy, but in a good way. All of the children really enjoyed it!
After playing in the bounce house for a bit, we headed to the main attraction – a train ride to the Easter Bunny! We boarded the train, and after a little wait we were off to see the Easter Bunny. On the way, we passed several bunny displays which the children just loved. When we got to the “barn”, we were able to go in and get pictures made with the bunny. We then decorated rabbit ears and went on a little egg hunt.
After the train ride back, we rode on the miniature train and then headed back to the bouncy house. After much complaining, we finally headed home after a fun filled afternoon.
Tickets are currently $12 a person, and for us it was definitely worth the cost. We got there a little after 4, and Little Miss was completely entertained until we left a little after 7. If I had it to do over again, I would get there even earlier so she could enjoy everything even longer. We brought sandwiches to eat with us, and I’m glad we did. There were a ton of picnic tables scattered around to use.
