Torani Syrup–A Review #SSTorani

I never really drank coffee until after I had Little Miss.  However, even before my coffee drinking days I would occasionally indulge in a mocha or other coffehouse drink.  However, those drinks can get expensive quickly!  At $4-5 each, they can really eat into your budget.  So how to make those yummy drinks affordable?  Make them yourself!  Torani syrups make it really easy.

Since 1925, family-owned Torani has been crafting great tasting flavored syrups that coffeehouses use to make their flavored drinks taste so delicious. With over 120 flavors in regular and sugar free varieties, Torani flavored syrups are perfect for flavored lattes, mochas, coffees, cocoas, Italian sodas, teas, lemonades, cocktails and smoothies. Coffeehouse professionals choose Torani flavors because they are expertly crafted and made with the highest quality ingredients, like natural flavors and pure cane sugar. The sugar free flavors have no calories and are sweetened with Splenda. Now, Torani Flavored Syrups are widely available at retail so you can easily create authentic coffeehouse quality drinks at home.

Torani Flavored Syrups are the same syrups that many coffeehouses use, so it’s pretty easy to customize your own drinks by adding their syrup and steamed milk to your coffee.  Now that winter is here, it’s a great time to indulge in a bottle or two of your favorite flavors!  One bottle is less than the cost of two coffeehouse drinks, and will likely last you all winter!  It’s also nice to be able to customize the drinks yourself.  Here is one of my favorite drinks during cold weather:

Peppermint Mocha

    • 3 T mocha powder
    • 1 –1.5 T Torani Peppermint Syrup
    • 1 ounce espresso or 1/4 cup of double strength darkly roasted coffee
    • 10 ounces steamed or heated milk
    • Freshly whipped cream

To indulge in a Peppermint Mocha, combine the mocha powder with the peppermint syrup to create wonderfully rich peppermint chocolate syrup. Pour the mocha syrup into a twelve-ounce mug, add a shot of espresso or double strength darkly roasted coffee.

Fill the remainder of the cup with steamed or heated milk. Garnish with freshly whipped cream.

This recipe can also make Peppermint Hot Chocolate by excluding the espresso or double strength darkly roasted coffee.

Serving Size: Makes one 12-oz Mocha

I also plan on using Torani flavors to make Italian Sodas for Little Miss.  Just use my Soda Stream to carbonate some water, add some flavoring, and she’ll have her own special drink!  It doesn’t get any easier than that!  You can also use them to jazz up tea, lemonade, or even cocktails!  In the summer I think we’ll try making our own crushed ice treats with it!

I also got to try the Pumpkin Pie Syrup thanks to SheSpeaks.  It’s not one I would have picked myself, but I’m glad I got to try it!  I have some pumpkin coffee that it goes great with – the perfect thing for Thanksgiving!  I’ve tried many of their other syrups too over the years and like each and every one.

BUY IT:  You can buy Torani on their site (use code “shespeaks” for 10% off), at Amazon, or at Cost Plus World Market plus many other stores!  Thanks to SheSpeaks for the sample bottles – all opinions expressed are my own!
